Walter memories
Betty is a sweet person. Her husband Walt taught me how to tie knots in scouts. He’d show us boys how to tie basic knots but occasionally would impress us with a sheep shank knot or the like. Something which almost no one could recreate. He was a kind, serious man with a gentle spirit. Like many of his generation that fought in the war, you knew there was a lot more going on underneath that you’d never get a glimpse into. It was a privilege to have known him.
